SwimUSA & Thursday Pools: Two Fiberglass Lines, One Installer
The brand you choose shapes everything: the pool’s footprint, depth profile, built-in features, and available add-ons. That’s why we carry two distinct fiberglass lines rather than one.
SwimUSA offers classic, freeform, kidney, natural, and rectangle models. Thursday Pools offers rectangular, freeform, and Roman shapes with features molded directly into the shell. Together, the two lines cover pools from compact 9’ x 15’ patio styles to large 16’ x 44’ rectangle formats: a range that fits many backyards and budgets. Tanning ledges, beach entries, bench seating, and swim-outs are part of the structure, not afterthoughts.
Because a fiberglass shell’s features are molded in rather than built on-site, costs tend to stay more predictable than comparable custom concrete designs. A complex freeform shape significantly increases concrete labor costs. With fiberglass, pricing doesn’t shift significantly based on shape alone.

- In-House Craftsmen and Coordinated Communication: Our installation crew works directly alongside our sales team on every project. You’re not relaying messages between a salesperson and a separate contractor. Both sides of your project stay in sync throughout the build.
- The Totally Hayward System: We equip pools with the Totally Hayward System: pumps, filters, heaters, heat pumps, automatic cleaners, lighting, controls, and salt chlorine generators engineered to work as one integrated system. We also stock Unicel filter replacement cartridges and use ProTeam vacuums on maintenance calls.
- Warranties and Purchase Perks: Most products and accessories we carry come with extensive warranties. Select purchases include on-site water testing, free filter upgrades, and solar covers. Our location keeps solar covers, safety covers, chemicals, pumps, and filters in stock for customers who need them.
Fiberglass vs. Vinyl Liner vs. Concrete Pools
Pennsylvania’s terrain varies significantly: rocky ground in the Poconos, heavy-clay soil in parts of the Lehigh Valley and Central PA, sandy soil near the Delaware and Susquehanna river valleys, and sloped lots along the Allegheny Plateau. Excavation complexity depends on what’s underfoot, and the pool type you choose can affect how that complexity plays out.
Fiberglass pools arrive as pre-fabricated shells, which can allow for a faster installation timeline than concrete construction, which can run several months or longer. The gelcoat surface on a fiberglass shell is smooth and non-porous, which resists algae buildup and can reduce chemical treatment needs compared to concrete pools, which are porous and more prone to algae growth. With proper care, a fiberglass shell can last for decades, though long-term results still depend on maintenance and site conditions.
Vinyl liner pools carry a different recurring cost: liners need periodic replacement, typically every several years depending on use and water chemistry. Concrete pools require periodic resurfacing, adding to their lifetime maintenance expense. Fiberglass avoids both of those recurring costs, though the upfront investment reflects that.
